Beaded Pig Pattern

Welcome to the 3-D beaded Pig pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and I'll do my best to help!

Step 1

Step 1 : In this step you are bringing both of your threads through your pigs head until you get to the spot that the ears will be. Bring your red thread through beads 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. Bring your black thread through beads 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Step 2

Step 2 : To the red side of your thread add beads 14, 15, and 16. On the black side of your thread add beads 7, 8, and 9.

Step 3

Step 3 : Now put your red thread through beads 12 and 13. Your black thread goes behind beads 5 and 6. Right behind the eyes of the pig.

Step 4

Step 4 : Leave your black thread alone for now. Your going to take your red thread and string it as shown in the picture, in an 'S' shape until you get to the bead that is marked as 1 in the picture. After this, add beads 2-4. Bead 3 will be your pigs foot.

Step 5

Step 5 : Now simply thread your red string through bead 1 again, only this time the opposite way. Your pig now has one leg!

Hi Em, it's a bum when that happens. Sometimes I find I can push it through using a needle. You can also try threading the thread onto the needle and going through the bead. If the needle's hard to thread, you can squeeze it with pliers, or cut it on an angle. A bigger problem is when you try one of these methods and the bead breaks! Usually not a big problem with plastic.

bleh, the string doesnt want to go through beads that have already been strung!
