Welcome to the beaded cube bead diamond-shaped ring pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and I'll do my best to help!

Step 1 : This step is pretty easy. To the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow (which is currently coming out of the gold bugle bead marked by a turquoise dot), add two more medium-length gold bugle beads (2nd one to be added is marked with green X). With the other end of the fishing line (red arrow), simply cross the last gold bugle bead that was added (marked by a green X). Then, with the end of the fishing line depicted by a black arrow, go through the short turquoise bugle bead marked with a green dot (it's already in the pattern, no need to add anything).

Step 2 : This step is even easier! So firstly, taking the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow, add 1 medium-length purple bugle bead (marked by a yellow dot), then 1 short turquoise bugle bead (marked by a pink X). With the other end of the fishing line (red arrow), all you have to do is cross the last-added bead (the short turquoise bead marked with a pink X). The important thing to realize in this step is that usually you alternate which end of the fishing does most of the work, but between this step and the last one, it has been the same end of the fishing line to which we have added most of the beads (the one depicted by a black arrow). This is because we have turned a corner in the pattern, and we want our fishing line ends to be aiming in the proper direction to continue with the pattern. As I have stated before, which end of the fishing line we use only affects which direction we will be turning in the pattern, otherwise you could use either end for anything.

Step 3 : Here it's the end of the fishing line depicted by the red arrow that you add the new beads to. So, to that end of the fishing line, add 1 short purple bugle bead, then 1 short turquoise bugle bead, then 1 short purple bugle bead (the one marked with a red dot). With the other end of the fishing line (marked by a black arrow), simply cross the last bead to be added (the short turquoise bugle bead marked with a red dot). Then, take the end of the fishing line depicted by a red arrow and go through the medium-length gold bugle bead marked with a green dot. This bead is already in the pattern, so no need to add any new beads.

Step 4 : This step is just like all the others (have you noticed a pattern? I hope so!). So, taking the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow, add 1 medium-length turquoise bugle bead (depicted by yellow X), then 1 short purple bugle bead (marked by turquoise dot). Then, take the other end of the fishing line (depicted by a red arrow), and cross the last bead that was added (the short purple bugle bead marked by a turquoise dot). Finally, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and go through the short turquoise bugle bead depicted by a yellow dot. This bead is already in the pattern, so there's no need to add any new beads.

Step 5 : This is the last "hard" step!!! Then you will have the base of your ring done!! So, to the end of the fishing line depicted by a red arrow, add 1 short turquoise bugle bead (marked with red X), then 1 short purple bugle bead (marked by a red dot). To the other end of the fishing line (depicted by a black arrow), simply cross the last bead added (the short purple bugle bead marked with a red dot). You are done the base of the ring!!!!
