Welcome to the beaded diamond-shaped ring pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and I'll do my best to help!

Step 1 : Now before you set anything in stone or do anything you regret, where possible, always try laying down your accent beads (i.e. the seed beads) right on top of your bugle-bead base to see if you will like how it looks. I picked Christmas-y colours because I'm on Christmas holiday right now (from the grueling University of Toronto). Now this might take a few tries and a needle will help with precisely laying down the beads where you want them. They may fall over a few times but be patient! (and take a picture the second you get it right before a gust of wind comes along!)

Step 2 : So the ends of fishing line should be right where we last left them coming out of the last-added white bugle bead. To one end of the fishing line (either end, but in my picture I added it to the end that is not facing the corner), add a small green seed bead. Then take the fishing line and pass it through the white bugle bead marked by a pink dot.

Step 3 : This is what it should look like after you pass the fishing line through the white bugle bead marked by a pink dot. The green seed bead is sandwiched between the two white bugle beads. Now keep going around the periphery of the base with green seed beads the same way.

Step 4 : This picture is to illustrate to you that you can go around the pattern with either end of the fishing line. So I recommend just using the longer end because you have more length to spare. Or you can go around with both ends of fishing line equally and meet them at the opposite end again.

Step 5 : This picture illustrates that when you have made it all around the periphery of the pattern with green seed beads, you cross the last bugle bead (marked with a blue dot) with both ends of the fishing line.
