Beaded Diamond-Shaped Ring Pattern

Step 1

Step 1 : Okay now we are done the base of the ring completely!! We just have to make the back so it attaches to your finger! You can lay it on your finger to see how it will look! I've highlighted a green seed bead with a pink dot because that is where you should now direct the two ends of your fishing line by going through beads until you get through that green seed bead with both ends (i.e. cross it). Now, I arbitrarily picked the closest green seed bead to where my fishing line ends were, but really it could have been the green sead bead on the opposite corner of the base. It could not have been the other two seed beads unless you want the vertical red stripe to be a horizontal red stripe when you wear the ring!

A final word about the seed bead pattern before moving on... This seed bead pattern was very straight forward, with an all-green periphery. However, if you wanted to make a striped vertical line pattern of seed beads like in some of my other patterns shown on the jewelry page, you will have to follow your pattern to know which seed bead to put where. It shouldn't be hard though. Just warning you!

Step 2

Step 2 : Here I have zoomed into the corner green seed bead (labelled with pink dot) and shown you how the two ends of the fishing line should cross that bead.

Step 3

Step 3 : Now to each end of fishing line, add 2 white bugle beads, as shown in the picture.

Step 4

Step 4 : Now add a new green seed bead (labelled with a yellow dot) and cross it with both ends of the fishing line.

Step 5

Step 5 : Now add 2 more new white bugle beads to each end of the fishing line and keep adding 1 more green seed bead and cross each time. Go on doing this until you have reached the desired length. More on this in the next step.
