Welcome to the 3-D beaded small cat pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and we'll do our best to help!

Step 56:Here it is as prophesied in the previous step: another self-cross to make the second paw! I really don't know what else to elaborate on since you just did this exact same step one step ago. But, just to be clear, you are only using the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and not touching the other end (that is depicted by the red arrow). Just take the end of the fishing line (black arrow), with the 3 pink beads on it, and string it and loop it around following the direction of the large black arrow to guide you. Loop it back through the orange bead marked by the green dot, and in the same direction as before. The pink paw has been added! Now we will finish up the back paws and then finish up the tail and then we will place the cat on the mantle piece!

Step 57:So now that the two front cat paws have been beaded, we must move the end of the fishing line we've been working with to the back paw area of the cat pattern. So, what you do is take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through the pink bead and then the orange bead until you get to the spot where the arrow ("tie knot") is pointing. The two ends of the fishing line should now be face to face because you haven't touched the other end in several steps. Basically, follow the picture's instructions and tie one or two knots. This is to make sure the cat's front paws (and the rest of the body) stay nice and tight.

Step 58:I hope this picture is fairly clear, but basically just take each end of the fishing line and go through one bead in the buttocks of the cat until you are basically having both ends of the fishing line sticking out the cat's anus, as shown in the photo. The two orange beads you should be stringing through are marked with turquoise X's. Now, because you just finished tying a knot in one corner of the model, you will first have to string one of those two ends of the fishing line through that orange bead that is between and behind the two orange beads marked with turquoise X's. Then you will be perfectly positioned to string through the two indicated orange beads to get your model looking like the picture (again, if in doubt, use your logic, trial and error, and follow the picture carefully!).

Step 59:In this picture, I have beaded one of the hind paws of the cat pattern. I am accelerating the instructions for how to bead the hind legs of the cat because you just beaded two front paws in exactly the same way! Basically, the two orange beads marked with the turquoise X's will serve as the bases for the two hind paws to build on/loop around. What you see in this picture is 6 newly added orange beads, 3 on each paw. Just follow the red arrow to loop around the bead marked with the turquoise X, after stringing those 3 new orange beads. Then do the exact same thing for the other paw (you can see in this picture, I have added 3 new beads onto the black arrow end of the fishing line, but without looping them, so you can tell where they came from). Of note, I have made use of both ends of the fishing line to do the back paws. However, for each paw, use only one end of the fishing line. I only used both ends to be efficient. Use one end of the fishing line to do each paw to save time.

Step 60:This is basically finishing off the previous step, in finishing the second hind paw of the beaded cat pattern. Follow the arrows and the picture! Now we are going to do the tail!
