Step 21

Step 21:Here you can see the second ear in place with the 3 orange beads. This ear is made the exact same way as the first ear (the pink one). Use only one end of the fishing line, not both (in this case, the end of the fishing line depicted by a red arrow). The other end of the fishing line is not involved, so I call this a self-cross of the bead (in this case, we are self-crossing the orange bead labelled with a red dot). Again, just take the fishing line end with the 3 orange beads on it, and loop it back around so it's going through the same bead it was before, and in the same direction. The location and orientation of that end of the fishing line should be exactly as it was before, only now there is an ear for the kitty! If confused, follow the direction of the large red arrow which shows how to make the loop.

Step 22

Step 22:Yay! We've come back to the pretty face of the beaded kitty. So we were working on the back of the cat's head before. Now we want to work on the front, so flip the cat's face over until you are face to face with her (or him!). I've kept the same labelling (the red dot and the green X) from the previous picture to help to orient you. Nothing else has changed. No new beads are to be added in this step, nor were you to cross anything. It's just to show you to flip your model forward. Oh, and notice the two orange beads labelled with blue dots, as they will be the target of the next step.

Step 23

Step 23:So what you will do is take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through those two orange beads labelled with blue dots, as shown. To the other end of the fishing line, simply add 1 orange bead followed by 1 black bead. Both are labelled with white dots. The black bead is the second eye of our beaded cat pattern!

Step 24

Step 24:This step is fairly simple. Simply cross the black bead with both ends of the fishing line. Specifically, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through the black bead that is labelled with a white dot. You have just formed yet another circle of 5 beads. I hope this is becoming quite routine! If you can start predicting the steps here (I hope), then my job is done. But I'll still continue anyways until the end just in case! This is the first time you can really see the cat's face taking shape. Ain't she cute! Now that orange bead labelled with a green dot will become important in the following step.

Step 25

Step 25:So here, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the red arrow and string it through the orange bead labelled with a green dot. To the other end of the fishing line, add 3 new orange beads. The last one added is labelled with a green X because it will be crossed in the very next step!
