Welcome to the 3-D beaded small cat pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and we'll do our best to help!

Step 31:Now turn the model of the beaded cat slightly until you are looking at the side of the head (on the orange side). The circle of 5 beads that we just finished up is still visible. Do you see the orange bead marked with a pink X? We just crossed that one. If you're still not sure, just examine the dots and X's carefully because they match up perfectly with the previous pictures. The new colour is the white. The two beads labelled with white dots and the bead labelled with a white X were not previously labelled. But all the other labels are carried over to help orient you. Basically, in this step, take the end of the fishing line depicted by a red arrow and string it through 3 orange beads: one orange bead labelled with a red dot, then 2 orange beads labelled with white dots. These 3 orange beads are already in the pattern, so don't add new ones! Just look carefully! Then, add a new orange bead to the pattern (marked with a white X) and cross it with both ends of the fishing line.

Step 32:This picture just shows you what it looks like after you pull the ends of the fishing line tight. You have made another circle of 5 beads! Those two orange beads marked with black dots will become important in the next step.

Step 33:Now in this step, we don't add any new beads. We are simply going through beads that already exist in the pattern to link all the beads in our cat's head together. Have you noticed the huge bead overlap between all the different "circles" of beads making up the cat's head? So, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through the 2 orange beads marked with black dots. Take the other end of the fishing line (red arrow) and string it through the orange bead marked with a pink dot. The two yellow beads marked with green dots will become important in the next step. We are going to make the cat's collar!

Step 34:Now add a new bead to the pattern. This is the yellow bead marked with a turquoise dot. Add this new bead and cross it with both ends of the fishing line. You have finished yet another circle of 5 beads! Now we are ready to finish up the cat's collar.

Step 35:So take the two ends of the fishing line and string them through the other two yellow beads (both marked with green dots), as shown in the picture. Then, add another new yellow bead (marked with a red dot) and cross it with both ends of the fishing line. You are done the cat's collar! Now, all those blue X's will become important in the following step. Basically, we are going to be connecting all those beads together by stringing through them all in sequence. This is important because we can't have any loose unattached beads in the cat's head, or else it won't be nice and tight and round.
