Step 56

Step 56:The heart is now finished! All that is left is to tie-off - a double knot should suffice. The picture shows what your heart should now look like and where your threads should be. Thread them back through a few of the nearby beads and then cut off.
That's great - you're done!

Step 57

Step 57:If you wish to make a Heart Comb, you need to make as many hearts as will fit across the comb and then attach them. All you have to do to attach the little beaded hearts to the comb is tie them to it using the very same fishing line you used to make them. Just go through some of the beads and then go round and round the backing of the comb (which you can see on step 2 of this page). Each time you loop around the backing of the comb with the string, try to go through some beads of the heart to extra secure it so won't budge around. You can tie each heart individually, or you can use the same long piece of string to tie them all and just continue along and string it through some beads in the next heart, loop around the base, etc. until all hearts are attached to the comb. Just go between the teeth of the comb to loop around it. Tie some knots at the end, go through some more random beads, and then cut the strings short. No glue or wire required.

Hey! I just finished my first one in about an hour. Very nice instructions (It helped me to jiffy about an inch of one of the wires - the black one-) I agree that it would have been a bit easier to follow if the colors were a bit more different. but thank you!

Hi leah, there'll be words coming soon. That will probably help you. But if you still get stuck, just leave a comment at the end of the page.

Hi Debbie. there's plenty of information on the home page about printing the patterns. But if you prefer, you can just copy and paste the bits you want.
 debbie on February 15, 2009:
There should be away at the end of each pattern to print just the pattern.

Hi Jini! Sorry I haven't gotten around to writing the text of the pattern yet. Basically, all you have to do to attach the little beaded hearts to the comb is by tying them to it using the very same fishing line you used to make them. Tie some knots at the end, go through some more random beads, then cut the strings short. No glue or wire required. Hope this helps!

What a wonderful pattern, I would love to make these for some Christmas stocking gifts, but not sure how to attach to the comb. Can you elaborate a bit more on how you do this? Glue? Wire?
 Allegra on August 31, 2008:
Good luck with the heart pattern! I'm soon going to post words on this pattern, but give it a try without the words, I'm sure you'll be able to do it. If you have any problems, write a comment on that page and I'll reply promptly to help you out. The other beaded heart pattern has words so you might want to try that one too.
